Organizers of this weekend’s MTS Super-Spike volleyball tournament are asking the public to make use of the free park and ride shuttle system to get to Maple Grove Rugby Park.
Due to limited parking, no vehicles will be allowed to park on site. A free shuttle will take players, and those just wanting to take in the festival, from the University of Manitoba’s U lot (across from Investors Group Field) to the park.
There are now 441 teams registered for the tournament, taking place July 18-19. The registrations eclipse last year’s team record of 432 teams.
Weekend-long concert and festival passes for non-tournament participants are still available and can be purchased SuperSpike.ca for $35. Funds raised support the Winnipeg-based National Women’s Volleyball Team.
