Mounties Stop Erratic Vehicle in Western Manitoba

RCMP Crest LogoRCMP pulled over an erratic driver Wednesday evening after receiving two separate reports of a speeding vehicle in western Manitoba.

Police say the first report came in at around 8 p.m. regarding a vehicle heading eastbound on Highway 1 near Moosomin, Saskatchewan travelling in excess of 130 km/h. A second report had the same vehicle in the Virden area.

Police stopped the 2011 black Hyundai Sonata with Saskatchewan plates near the junction of Highway 1 and Highway 270.

The 19-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested and released on a promise to appear in Brandon court next month. He’s facing several driving offences and possession of a controlled substance.
