Man Shot With Pellet Gun in Apartment on Broadway

Winnipeg Police CrestA Winnipeg man was sent to hospital after he was shot with a pellet gun during an argument on Wednesday.

Winnipeg police said the man, 40, got into a fight with another man, 21, inside an apartment building on Broadway near Young Street at about 5 p.m. The 21-year-old man’s friend, 19, whipped out a pellet gun and shot at the man several times, hitting him in the upper body.

Then a 48-year-old woman jumped in, and the assault continued until the man managed to escape. He headed to a nearby business before he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Stephen Linden Seymour, 19, faces charges of assault with a weapon, discharge a firearm with intent and possession of a weapon. He was detained. The 48-year-old is facing a charge of assault. She has been released on a promise to appear.
