Winnipeg police said they have arrested two teens after a violent incident that saw a trio of teens beaten, threatened and robbed of their property near Polo Park.
Police said two women and one man, all 18, were taking pictures near the creek behind Polo Park Shopping Centre Saturday when they were approached by five men at about 4 p.m., with one of the men wearing a ‘scary clown’ mask. The thieves held the trio at knife point and robbed them of their property.
The male victim was punched in the upper body, sending him to the ground. One of the women was robbed of her bank card and PIN, resulting in money being stolen from her account. The victims were held for an hour and a half while they were assaulted, robbed and threatened before being allowed to leave.
The victims reported one of the men wore a “scary clown” mask for part of the incident.
Dylan Carmen Anderson, 19, has been arrested and charged with three counts of Robbery and Forcible Confinement.
Another teen, 17, was also arrested and faces the same charges, as well as Failing to Comply with a Disposition.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.
