Eight provincial volleyball teams are in action this week, competing in championships in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Gatineau.
Volleyball Manitoba will have team representation in all three cities, with the Manitoba 18U Women’s Provincial Team playing first at the University of Manitoba’s Investors Group Athletic Centre. The squad began Wednesday, where they are competing until Sunday at the 2014 Women’s National Team Challenge Cup.
Ten teams are competing, representing eight provinces and featuring Canada’s top 18U female volleyball players. Spectator admission is free.
In Gatineau, the Manitoba 19U Men’s Provincial Team is playing in the 2014 Men’s National Team Challenge Cup.
Six additional provincial teams at the 17U (boys) and 16U (girls) age categories are competing in Edmonton.
