The North End Family Centre received a generous donation on Thursday thanks to two local philanthropists.
Geoff and Regan Archambault presented a cheque for $50,000 to the centre to help with their expansion project.
The centre recently announced its relocation to 1344 Main Street, approximately half a block north of its current location.
“This investment will allow us to serve the community even better, and enable more families to find a safe place to build community and gain the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty,” said North End Family Centre founder and executive director Kyle Mason.
The North End Family Centre’s total expansion project will near $150,000. Renovations in the new facility will begin later this summer, with the targeted date of completion by the end of the year.
