Winnipeg Fringe Theatre FestivalThe Winnipeg Art Gallery is offering visitors of the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival an insider deal if they stick around to look at the gallery.

The WAG is one of the host venues this year for the Fringe Fest, which is on now until July 27. Ten shows are running in the Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Fringers are invited to bring their ticket stub from any festival event at the WAG to receive $2 off admission to exhibitions, including 7: Professional Native Indian Artists Inc. This touring show looks at Canada’s first Aboriginal artist collective, a groundbreaking cultural and political entity that self-organized to demand recognition.

“The 2014 lineup includes many returning Fringe fan favourites,” said Fringe Festival executive producer Chuck McEwen. “As well as plenty of first-time artists and companies who are looking forward to seeing the enthusiastic audiences at the WAG.”
