Coming to a parking lot near you — a drive-in movie theatre.
CentreVenture Development Corporation, in conjunction with the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and Manitoba Public Insurance, will be setting up a drive-in movie theatre at the CityPlace parking lot every Saturday at sundown from August 9 through August 30.
The event will be free for people arriving by bike, transit or on foot, and cars will be $10.
The premiere Downtown Winnipeg Drive-In will focus on movie villains, with “The Dark Knight” kicking off the first movie, followed by “Zoolander” and “The Avengers.” The public will vote for the final movie screening between “The Matrix” or “Terminator 2.”
