Woman Struck, Killed by Car on Highway 10

RCMP Crest LogoA 28-year-old woman from Minitonas, Manitoba was hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning.

The accident happened just after midnight on Highway 10 at the intersection of Provincial Road 150 West.

RCMP say the woman appeared to be intoxicated when she tried to flag down a westbound car to ask for a ride. She was struck when she stepped onto the roadway.

The woman was taken to Swan River Valley Health Centre, where she was pronounced deceased.

The 32-year-old Brandon man driving the car, along with his passenger, suffered minor injuries.

The name of the deceased isn’t being released.
