Police ID Victim in Holiday Towers Homicide

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have identified the victim of the city’s latest homicide as Arthur Haussermann.

The 53-year-old man was found in an apartment suite in the 100 block of Hargrave Street last Saturday after a small fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the man was taken to hospital in critical condition. He later succumbed to his upper body injuries.

The fire caused approximately $10,000 in damage.

UPDATE: Wednesday, July 30Clarissa Dawn Ponace, 29, of Winnipeg has been charged with second-degree murder and other offences. She remains in custody.
