The second quarter saw passenger traffic and revenue increase at Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport.

The airport reported a passenger load increase of six percent compared to the second quarter of 2013. Revenue was $24.2 million, compared to $23.1 million for the same period in 2013. Earnings before interest, depreciation and taxes were $11.4 million, compared to $12.2 million in 2013 for the same period.

“We were pleased to once again see increases in passenger traffic this quarter due to expanded service and frequency from our airline partners,” said Barry Rempel, President and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA). “This quarter kept our team busy laying the groundwork for a number of exciting developments that are on the horizon, including the launch of the new Plaza Premium Lounge.”
