The Winnipeg Folk Festival is kicking off its acoustic session series with musician Shakey Graves.
Every Tuesday in August, the festival will highlight one of its feature performers, as filmed backstage during this year’s festival.
Graves plays “Big Time Nashville Star,” a track off his brand-new record, And The War Came, set for release on October 7.
The newest folk hero has also announced a North American headlining fall tour, which includes a concert in Winnipeg on November 25 at the Park Theatre.
The next Winnipeg Folk Fest sessions to be released are with Hiss Golden Messenger, Old Man Canyon, Fortunate Ones and an exclusive, first-recording of a song by Grace & Tony.
