Teen Breaks Free from Attempted Abduction in Norway House

RCMP Crest LogoNorway House RCMP are looking for a man they say attempted to abduct a 14-year-old girl.

The teen was walking alone in the Rossville area of Norway House Cree Nation Thursday at around 1 a.m. when she was approached.

Police say the unknown man tried to pull the girl into his vehicle, but she was able to get away and make it to safety in a nearby residence.

The suspect is described as fair-skinned, speaking with an accent and wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs hat. The vehicle is a dark colour four-door Dodge pickup truck.
