RCMP Crest LogoThree pedestrians were struck by a vehicle early Monday morning while walking near Minnedosa.

Manitoba RCMP were called to the scene at Provincial Road 262 by Road 85N just before 3 a.m.

Police say the southbound vehicle was travelling near the entrance of the Minnedosa Rock in the Fields music festival when the collision occurred. A 44-year-old Winnipeg man was treated and released at the scene, while a 25-year-old man and 23-year-old woman — both from Minnedosa — were taken to hospital. The man later succumbed to his injuries. The woman was later released.

Police have a 37-year-old suspect in custody and say alcohol is considered a factor.
