A public exhibit mixing contemporary garden and art installations is back for another year in Winnipeg.

Cool Gardens has added three new interactive exhibits in St. Boniface, while maintaining its installations that run from the Via Rail station to Provencher Boulevard. Four of the installations are at The Forks.

“This exhibition brings together architects, designers, artists and landscape architects and challenges them to create contemporary gardens that challenge and delight,” said David Penner, president of StorefrontMB.

The Forks is again home to many of the diverse works, including Blue Stick, Cool Dot, Beachscape and TILT.

A highlight this year is the inclusion of three new gardens at La Maison des Artistes Visuels Francophones.

“The new installations are really playful and interactive and invite the public to make a contribution to the storytelling they embody,” Penner added.

The exhibit will run from now until September 28.
