Movies on Memorial returned to downtown Winnipeg on Tuesday night with a free screening of “The Goonies.”
Every Tuesday in August, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ will screen a different flick under this year’s theme of “cinema’s favourite underdogs.”
Movies will begin at sunset and continue on August 12th (Karate Kid), 19th (Back to the Future) and 26th (The Princess Bride or Toy Story). The public can vote for the last movie’s selection by visiting DowntownWinnipegBIZ.com.
In the event of rain, the movie will take place the following day.
In addition to Movies on Memorial, the BIZ is also hosting the Downtown Winnipeg Drive-In every Saturday this month.
