A man struck by a vehicle while riding his bike has died, Winnipeg police say.
The collision happened Saturday morning at around 7:30 a.m. near Stapon Road and Regent Avenue West.
Police say the cyclist was travelling south across Regent Avenue in the pedestrian corridor, against the red light, when he was struck by a vehicle travelling east in the curb lane.
He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later died of his injuries.
The woman driving the vehicle was interviewed and neither speed or alcohol are factors in the crash.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro stopped at the intersection. Police can be reached at (204) 986-6271.
