Three Boys Charged After Thefts in St. Vital

Winnipeg Police CrestThree young boys are in custody after Winnipeg police say they went on a break and enter spree in the St. Vital and River Park areas of the city.

Officers spotted the boys on bicycles early Friday morning at around 6 a.m. in the area of St. Mary’s Road and Ward Avenue. Police say it was revealed the three bikes were recently stolen.

During the investigation, police learned the suspects had been involved in several break-ins from vehicles, yards and an unknown garage.

The thefts from vehicles occurred in:

  • 1st 100 block of Hirt Crescent
  • 200 block of Barlow Court
  • 600 block of John Forsyth Road
  • 1st 100 block of Yachts Cove
  • 1st 100 block of Paddington Road

The three males, 12, 13 and 16, have been charged with several theft-related offences.
