Grey Cup in Winnipeg to Support Local Food Bank

August 21, 2014 3:33 PM | Sports

Football fans wanting to get up close with the CFL’s Grey Cup at Friday’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers game are being asked to bring a donation for Winnipeg Harvest.

Through the Purolator Tackle Hunger campaign, all non-perishable food items will be collected for the food bank prior to the Bombers hosting the Montreal Alouettes.

Fans can get their photo taken with the cup starting at 4 p.m. on the plaza at Investors Group Field.

Fans who bring a food donation will also receive a $30 off coupon that can be used on the purchase of the new signature jersey.

All donations will be weighed and the pounds collected will be announced during the game.
