MS Society of CanadaAround 700 cyclists will make a 170 km trek across Manitoba this weekend for the 25th anniversary of the Biking to the Viking MS Bike Tour.

Supporting the cause in ending multiple sclerosis, the ride will depart Saturday from the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex in Stonewall. From there, riders will head to Gimli after strolling through Balmoral, Teulon, Donnottar, and Sandy Hook.

They will stay overnight in Gimli before cycling back to Stonewall on Sunday morning to cross the finish line between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“As it is our 25th anniversary year, it’s our greatest pleasure to highlight four riders that have participated in all 25 rides,” said Donna Boyd, president of the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities participate and raise a minimum of $300 in pledges.
