City of WinnipegFolks living in St. Vital will soon be able to enjoy the Seine River a little more.

The City of Winnipeg and the Province of Manitoba announced funding to improve the area around the river, including new access point improvements and a granular pathway.

The total cost to the improvements will come in at $107,000, funded through Phase Two of the Manitoba/Winnipeg Building Communities Initiative grant.

“These funds create another chance for Winnipeggers to come and enjoy the Seine River,” said Councillor Brian Mayes, St. Vital Ward. “In the future, this park will be a destination point for the Bishop Grandin Greenway allowing citizens to walk or bike to a beautiful, family-friendly location by the Seine.”
