Winnipeg police are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was grabbed while walking in the 500 block of Washington Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Police say the victim was talking at around 4:20 p.m. when an unknown man began following her. She continued walking eastbound on Washington and was grabbed from behind.
The girl was able to break free and run home, where her parents notified police. She wasn’t injured.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 40-50 years of age with a slim build, short brush cut hair approximately 1” in length and a lazy left eye. He was wearing a green army sweater and blue jeans.
