With a new chef comes a new name.
SMITH is the name of the new restaurant at the Inn at the Forks, to replace The Current Restaurant and Lounge. The Inn at the Forks recently announced the hiring of Alex Svenne as their new executive chef.
“We wanted to create an iconic restaurant in the heart of Winnipeg’s most popular tourist destination,” said Ben Sparrow, CEO of Sparrow Hotels, which operates Inn at the Forks. “The Forks is every Winnipegger’s backyard, and we want to offer a fine dining experience that feels just as comfortable.”
The restaurant is being touted as “rustic” and inspired by local influences and local food. It plans to open on September 13.
