A Winnipeg woman is dead after she was pushed out of a moving car, Winnipeg police said Thursday.
Police said they were called to the scene on Wednesday morning at about 2:30 a.m. where they found Jennie Lynda Lee Graves, 35, in critical condition on the road in the intersection of St. Mary’s and St. Anne’s Roads. She was taken to hospital where she later died.
Police said Graves was the passenger in a car when she and the driver got into a fight that turned physical. The driver then pushed her out of the car, ran her over with the vehicle’s rear wheels and sped away. A witness chased the car down and brought the driver back to the scene, where he was arrested.
Keith Ryan Thompson, 35, has been charged with Causing Death by Criminal Negligence, Driving While Abillty Impaired Causing Death, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, Failure to Remain at the Scene and Failure to Provide a Breath Sample.
He has been detained.
