A young man is in custody after Winnipeg police found him assaulting two people early Friday.
Police said they were called to the 100 block of Henry Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. where they found a man kicking and punching a 41 year old woman and a 46 year old man. The man was taken into custody and the victims were transported to hospital. While the woman is in stable condition, the man is listed as in guarded condition.
A man, 20, is facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, assault causing bodily harm, public mischief, possession of marihuana and prescription drugs and failure to comply with a probation order.
He remains in custody.
