Winnipeg Goldeyes GM Andrew Collier
Winnipeg Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier has been named the 2014 American Association Executive of the Year.
Collier led the Goldeyes in league attendance with a season total of 258,429 fans to Shaw Park. The average single game attendance was 5,618. The Goldeyes also hosted a very successful two-day American Association All-Star event at the ballpark in July.
It’s the sixth time Collier has been named to the honour, winning under the former Northern League banner in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Winnipeg begins their playoff run against the Lincoln Saltdogs Wednesday night at Shaw Park.
