The Winnipeg Goldeyes capped off the 2014 regular season on Monday night with a loss at home, but still have the playoffs to look forward to.
The Fish fell 5-4 to the Gary SouthShore RailCats in front of 7,345 fans to finish the season with a 63-37 record.
Winnipeg begins their American Association Divisional Series with the Lincoln Saltdogs Wednesday night at Shaw Park. Game 2 is slated for Thursday. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
Five-year Goldeyes starter Chris Salamida will take the ball for Game 1, while Ethan Hollingsworth will start Game 2. 2014 American Association Pitcher of the Year Nick Hernandez is scheduled to start Game 3 in Lincoln. The Goldeyes will play a fourth and fifth game at Lincoln if necessary.
