St. Norbert Takes Farmers’ Market Online

September 3, 2014 8:58 AM | News

St. Norbert Farmers' Market OnlineThe St. Norbert Farmers’ Market is going online to allow its vendors to sell their products to customers year-round.

Beginning September 20, the website will begin accepting orders for everything from meats, honey, preserves, and eggs, to seasonal vegetables, baked goods, and crafts.

“It’s still a farmers’ market, but now you can place your order with the producer online, then meet them on site to pick up the order. It will be quick and easy to shop local,” said Phil Veldhuis, chair of the SNFM online committee.

The order period will be bi-weekly and products will be available for pickup during the regular market season, and at an indoor site in St. Norbert during the winter.

Funds to launch the online market were collected through an annual fundraiser in cooperation with Food Matters Manitoba. This year’s Farmers’ Feast fundraiser is September 11. Tickets can be purchased at FarmersFeastManitoba.com.
