When the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hit the field on Sunday for the annual Banjo Bowl, players will be decked out in royal blue.

In an effort to drown out the abundance of visiting Saskatchewan Roughrider green in the stands at Investors Group Field, the Bombers are encouraging fans to create a solid sea of blue.

Players will wear their popular royal blue uniforms, which include gold pants with a blue stripe, gold helmets featuring the traditional “W” logo, and royal blue socks.

Similar jerseys for fans are available for sale in the Bomber Store.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m., with the plaza opening at noon near Gate 2. Fan Appreciation Day takes place on Saturday.
