Suspicious Man Sought After Girl Approached in St. Norbert

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a suspicious man who approached a nine-year-old girl while walking to school on Thursday in St. Norbert.

The child was walking with her brother in the 1000 block of Ducharme Avenue over the noon hour when the incident occurred. Police say as the brother headed towards his own school, the girl crossed Ducharme near Houde Drive and was approached by the man who had been falling her.

The man asked if she wanted to help him look for his dog. The girl didn’t answer and notified staff upon arriving to school.

The man is described as between 30-40 years of age of an unknown race, 5’10” tall with short, brown hair. He was wearing a red hoodie and black shorts.
