A bird’s-eye view of the future land development at The Forks. (HANDOUT)
The Forks is holding another public open house to gauge feedback on its future land development concepts near the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
Known as Parcel 4 and the Rail Side lands, proposed plans call for new parks, plazas, promenades and visitor parking. The plan encompasses nearly 12 acres of land currently used for surface parking.
“We want to ensure we get the best possible cross section of people providing us their input so we’ve added another session,” said Paul Jordan, CEO of The Forks North Portage Partnership. “We got great feedback from the first two sessions, with several hundred attendees at each.”
The open house will be held Wednesday, September 10 from 4-7 p.m. in the centre court at The Forks.
