Driver Injured After Semi, Train Collide on Highway 305

RCMP Crest LogoA 25-year-old man from the RM of Ritchot is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Highway 305 Saturday morning.

RCMP say the man driving the semi was travelling on Highway 305 at around 8 a.m. when they collided with a train between Niverville and Ste. Agathe, Manitoba. The CP train was not derailed and no hazardous material was involved.

There was significant fog in the area at the time and visibility was reduced.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision.
