WINNIPEG — Fashion-obsessed shoppers have been waiting for this day for years and it’s finally here.
Swedish fashion giant H&M (Hennes & Mauritz Inc.) will open at Polo Park Shopping Centre at 11 a.m. this morning.
The 25,000-square-foot store will be the first for the company in Manitoba, and its 68th in Canada.
“We have been waiting for a great location in Winnipeg and are very happy to have found one at Polo Park,” said Toni Galli, country manager of H&M Canada, during an announcement last fall.
VIPs and e-mail subscribers received a preview of the store on Tuesday night ahead of its public opening.
The fashion retailer sells men’s, women’s and children’s fashion at reasonable prices — perfect for the Winnipeg market.
