The city’s architecture, design, planning, and art will be in the forefront this week as the annual Winnipeg Design Festival is held downtown from September 17-21.
Professionals, designers, artists, industry, and the public will connect, discuss, and together, will help build a culture of appreciation for good design in Winnipeg.
This year’s theme is PLAY and is about experimentation and creativity.
“From Park(ing) Day to Chalk Walk to silk-screening to tours, films, collaborative sculptures and much more, this year’s festival has something for everyone at every age,” organizers said in a release.
The festival is being put on by Storefront Manitoba. Each event is intended to bridge the professional and creative community to start a dialogue of design in the city.
