Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in a single-vehicle crash that killed one man and injured another.
The crash happened Monday at around 7:45 p.m. on Highway 12 approximately 5 km south of PR 215 in the RM of Brokenhead.
Manitoba RCMP say the vehicle was travelling northbound at the time when it veered into the ditch and hit a hydro pole.
The 42-year-old Brokenhead man driving the vehicle, along with his 44-year-old male passenger, were taken to hospital. The driver was later pronounced deceased due to his injuries, while the passenger was treated and released.
The cause of the collision is unknown.
