A third body has been pulled from the Red River in Winnipeg in recent weeks — this time near the Redwood Bridge.
Police got a call at around 9 a.m. Saturday from someone who located the deceased, which has been identified as a female.
Foul play is not suspected and the forensic identification section is in the process of identifying the body.
Earlier this summer, police pulled two bodies from the Red River — one near the Alexander Docks and another near Kildonan Park. Outside of the city, RCMP located a body this week near Lockport.
