It’s a chance for Winnipeggers to get to know their mayoral, councillor and school trustee candidates ahead of the civic election on October 22.
ElectionFest is being put on by Metro Winnipeg tonight from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the RBC Convention Centre in partnership with the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.
There will be no debates or moderators, and candidates will speak freely to members of the public on a number of issues raising concern.
“This is a chance for voters — many of whom haven’t decided who they’re going to vote for — to find all the candidates in one spot,” Metro Winnipeg managing editor Elisha Dacey said earlier this month promoting the event.
Admission is free, but a donation to Change for the Better will be accepted.
