Girl, 11, Approached by Suspicious Man on Brazier Street

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a suspicious man who approached an 11-year-old girl waiting to be picked up from school on Wednesday.

The girl was standing in the 900 block of Brazier Street at around 3 p.m. when she noticed the man watching her from his vehicle. The man got out and asked the girl a number of questions, including what school she attended and what time classes were over.

The girl answered the man and he returned to his vehicle where he continued to watch her.

Police say the girl then walked to a nearby store and the man parked nearby watching her until she was picked up.

The suspect is described as black in appearance, approximately 5’4” tall with an average build. He was wearing white pants, a golf-style shirt with green and red squares on it, matching visor with the same pattern, black shoes and glasses.

The vehicle is described as a newer model white Jeep sport utility vehicle similar to a Cherokee.
