Manitoba Newspaper Reporter Facing Luring, Child Porn Charges

RCMP Crest LogoA rural Manitoba newspaper reporter has been charged with Internet luring and possessing child pornography.

David Adams, 27, of Swan River was arrested on September 9 after RCMP executed two search warrants, including at Adams’ home and his place of employment.

Sources tell ChrisD.ca Adams worked as a sports/news reporter at the Swan Valley Star and Times.

Shortly after his arrest, Adams was released on strict conditions, including not being allowed to access the Internet.

Formal charges were laid on Monday and Adams will appear in Swan River court on December 17.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
