Polo Park Shopping Centre is ready to show off its $49 million redevelopment to the public.
The Winnipeg mall will be unveiling 17 new retail outlets on Wednesday morning as part of its expansion, which accounts for 114,000-square-feet of redeveloped and new space.
A series of first-to-market retailers will open, including Nine West, Thomas Sabo, Fossil, Watch it!, Journey’s and Saje, as well as Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, which will open in mid-October. The Disney Store will also return to Winnipeg for the first time in five years.
Existing retail clients at the mall have also either renovated or relocated, such as Eddie Bauer, Guess, Mexx, Garage, Dynamite, Lenscrafters and Polo Park Dental.
“This fall and holiday seasons will be exciting times at Polo Park,” said the mall’s GM Deborah Green. “We pride ourselves on being the centre of fashion in Winnipeg and look forward to exceeding our customers’ expectations as we embark on this new era at Polo Park.”
Renovations also include a new entrance on the second level parking deck and new washroom facilities.
The official opening is set for 10 a.m.
