It’s an annual scene in October to see everything pink. And why not? We’re only two days into Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
To fundraise and bolster support for breast cancer research, CancerCare Manitoba has teamed up with Winnipeg gardener Stan Soltes and his daughter to sell pink-coloured pumpkins.
Last year’s crop of pumpkins, various squash and harvested goodies raised nearly $7,000.
The pumpkins — which are harvested from a garden in south St. Vital — will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Old Navy parking lot at St. Vital Centre.
The sale begins at 10 a.m. today and runs through the weekend until Sunday, October 5 during regular mall hours.
