Championship weekend for amateur football in the province is just under a month away.
Football Manitoba will be celebrating its athletes November 1-2 at Investors Group Field, featuring more than 600 players from around the province competing in all age-group categories.
“Championship Weekend is always a thrill for players and fans,” said Shawn Coates, executive director of Football Manitoba. “It’s a wonderful event to celebrate our game and those who play it. We expect the competition to be fierce.”
Other events include the Manitoba Major Football League final the night of November 1 and the Midget Football League of Manitoba final the night of November 2.
The U of M Bisons will also host their final game of the regular season against the visiting Calgary Dinos at 2 p.m. on the 1st.
