Winnipeg’s Lighthouse Mission is serving up a Thanksgiving feast to 200 of the city’s less fortunate citizens on Friday, October 10.
The mission opened up its new kitchen in the summer and will be preparing all of the trimmings to serve up the feast between 4-6 p.m. at 669 Main Street.
Guests will enjoy a home cooked meal including turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and carrots, and a slice of pumpkin pie.
The sit-down dinner is split into two sittings at 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. and is being served by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Project Echo, a philanthropic organization that works closely with Lighthouse, is sponsoring the annual Thanksgiving dinner this year.
