It has an attention-grabbing name meant to turn heads and raise big money for the fight against breast cancer.
Boobyball (that’s not a typo) is a one-night event being put on in Winnipeg on November 8 as Rethink Breast Cancer’s mainstay charity extravaganza.
The event will include cocktails, festival foods, strong man competitions, kooky contortionist, tiger tamers, fortune tellers, and other attractions.
“Over the past 13 years, Boobyball has become a ‘must attend’ fundraising event for young professionals in Toronto, which has now also expanded into Calgary and Winnipeg,” said MJ Decoteau, executive director of Rethink Breast Cancer. “A lot of credit for Boobyball’s success can be given to the fun and creative themes that we come up with every year, which compel and inspire attendees to support the important work we do with young women with breast cancer.”
Tickets to the 18+ Boobyball are $100 each or $150 for VIP tickets. The event begins at 9 p.m. at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre, 281 Donald Street.
