Suspect Sought in Downtown Winnipeg Sexual Assault

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a man after a sexual assault on Sunday night.

Police say a 43-year-old woman was walking southbound on Ellen Street towards Notre Dame Avenue when she was grabbed by an unknown man armed with a weapon.

The victim was taken behind a commercial building in the area where she was seriously sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as being black, approximately 15-18 years of age, 5’3” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a sleeveless white hoodie, khaki shorts and blue flip flops.
