Cottagers in and around the Grand Beach area will be without power next Friday, October 24.
Manitoba Hydro has planned an interruption to electrical service between 8 a.m. and noon, affecting approximately 2,800 customers. The area under the planned outage stretches from Beaconia Beach north to Belair.
Crews will be trimming and removing trees along the sub-transmission line supplying electricity to the area.
The utility offers tips for residents to prepare for a power outage on its website.
