A five-year-old boy on St. Theresa Point First Nation was killed Friday after being hit by a vehicle shortly after being dropped off by a school bus.
RCMP say the accident happened when a vehicle reversing from a driveway struck the victim as he was walking near his residence.
The child was taken to the local nursing station at around 4:30 p.m. where he was pronounced deceased.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors, and foul play is not suspected.
Police continue to investigate.
