Suspect Sought in Bus Shelter Sexual Assault

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a man after they say a woman was sexually assaulted in a bus shelter.

The alleged assault took place Sunday at around 10:30 a.m. while the victim was waiting for a bus at Fort Street and Graham Avenue. The man is said to have struck up a conversation with the victim and then asked for money. Police say the man then inappropriately touched the woman before he fled the area.

The victim wasn’t injured and immediately boarded a bus.

The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, 45-50 years of age, 5’9” tall, approximately 320 pounds with short black hair and a mole near his right eye. He was wearing light-coloured blue jeans, brown shirt with the word “QUEENS” in red on the front and brown shoes.
