Winnipeg police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman.
The alleged assault occurred October 11 on a Winnipeg Transit bus at around 11 a.m. Police say the woman was seated near the rear of the bus when a man sat beside her. Police say the man began sexually assaulting the woman and attempted to take her off the bus. A passenger intervened and the suspect fled.
The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
On October 16, police arrested William Perry Bushie in the area of Maroons Road and Empress Street.
He has been charged with sexual assault and remains in custody.
