Headingley Correctional Officers Charged with Assault

RCMP Crest LogoThree Manitoba correctional officers have been charged with assault causing bodily harm.

RCMP say the three men, all from Winnipeg, allegedly assaulted a 24-year-old male inmate at Headingley Correctional Institution on October 6.

The officers have been identified as Michael Haddad (supervisor), 44, Mark Svendsen, 40, and Michael Delorme, 31.

All three will appear in Winnipeg court on Wednesday.

Police also charged the victim with assault in relation to the same event.
